Who cares? This is just like the Bioshock-to-PS3 rumor. Any game that comes out that much later on a second platform will fail. Of course PS3 exclusives have a way of failing too - whether they are good games or not.

Here's what Sony really needs to do:
1) Get a time machine and send their chief engineers back in time a few years so they can stop the insanity before it starts.
2) Put a normal CPU in place of the Cell. The Cell is a disaster for everything, but Folding at Home. Developers would get much more from a normal multi-core Intel or AMD chip with much less work.

Sony is desperate. Why else would they sell a demo of a beta build? Also, how long was the full GT5 release delayed in order to take time out and produce this beta demo for sale? Funny how people compare Forza 2 with a game whose full version could still be a year away! By the time GT5 finally releases, Forza 3 will probably be right around the corner. I've been playing the FULL VERSION of Forza 2 for six full months now.

I listen to music streaming from a huge library on my computer's hard disk while playing 360 games. I can even access play lists created in Media Player. I hate the urban music that comes with most games!

You guys can argue and rationalize all you want. When you look at the real world numbers things are ugly for the PS3. Is it 3D0 bad? No, not nearly. The PS3 will survive, have a loyal following and eventually be a good machine. It has consistently fallen way short of the hype though.

PS3 has a terrible development system. That is why they are only getting 30% of the power right now. To top that off Sony gave the developers another swift kick in the nuts by using such a tiny amount of RAM split into two separate parts. The software development system can be improved as time passes. The memory mistake can never be fixed. For this reason the PS3 is not "future proof" - or even "present proof".

I bet they'll have a price cut across the board on 360's when this one comes out. This one will be around the same as the 80 gig PS3. The Elite will cut to match the price of the 40gig PS3. The premium and the base models will get lower prices too.
